Slammers FC Classica Driven by Yokohoma Rules

This Tournament shall be played under FIFA rules as modified by USYSA and CYSA-S. All decisions and calls of tournament referees are final. No Protests will be allowed. The designated Field Marshall or Tournament Director will resolve any situation not covered by the rules.

 

Registration:

Teams must check-in in accordance with instructions provided with acceptance. All players must be registered with USYS (i.e. CYSA, US Club, etc.) and have their laminated league passes and medical release forms.  PLAYER CARDS CAN BE FROM THE CURRENT SEASON, THE NEW SEASON OR A MIX OF BOTH. 

Unlimitted guest players. There will be no player additions after check-in.

 

Game Check-In

The Field Marshall or Referee will check player I.D. cards and equipment prior to each game. Players must wear shin guards to play. Home Team is listed first in the schedule and will have choice of sides. In case of conflict the home team must change jerseys. Home team will supply the game ball. Failure to have 7 players available within 5 minutes of scheduled game time constitutes a forfeit. The winner will be awarded 8 points. (6 for the win, 1 for a goal, 1 for no goals scored against.)

 

 

Game Length 

Preliminary, Semi-finals, and Finals: Game length for 2010 thru 2009 divisions will be 25-minute halves, 2008 through 2000 divisions will be 30-minute halves. Five minutes for half time. There will be no time allowance for injuries or water breaks.

 

Format

1. 6 Points for each win

2. 3 Points for each tie.

3. Zero points for a loss

4. 1 Point for a shutout.

5. 1 Point for each goal scored up to a maximum of 3 per game.

6. Minus 1 point for each player or coach ejected (red carded).

 

Tie Breakers

If teams are tied on points after preliminary games, the following tiebreaker system will be used to determine the quarter-finalists, semi-finalists and finalists as may be applicable:

1. Head-to-head competition

2. Goal differential

3. Goals allowed

4. Goals scored

5. FIFA penalty kicks.

The same will also be used to determine Champions & Finalists for those brackets playing Round Robin format where there is no final.

Overtime will not be played in any preliminary & semi-final games. Semi-finals will go directly to shoot-out. Finals will have two 5-minute overtimes and a shoot out if required.

 

Substitutions

Substitutions may be made, with the consent of the referee, at any stoppage in play.

 

Awards

Champions shall be presented with Team Championship trophy. Individual medals will be presented to both teams after the championship match.

Teams participating in the championship match will receive first and second place medals.

Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their players, bench & spectators, and may be ejected based on conduct of those for whom the coach is responsible. Any player or coach ejected from a game will not be permitted to play in the next scheduled match unless agreed to by the Tournament Committee.

 

Refund Policy

Refunds will be made to all teams not accepted. Teams that drop before June 10th will be given refunds. No refunds will be given to teams that drop after June 8th.

The Tournament Director or referee may suspend any match or tournament in

consideration of safety to players or damage to fields in event of inclement whether under any circumstances. Partial refunds for cancelled or suspended games will be considered by Tournament Committee and determined in full accordance with CYSA-S guidelines or rules and regulations but will not exceed $100 per game.

No refund will be allowed due to forfeit of game by team accepted to tournament.

Application to Slammers Futbol Classic does not automatic acceptance to the tournament. Full Refunds will be given to any team not accepted into the tournament.

The Tournament Director has the authority to make decisions on any matters not specifically covered by these rules & regulations.
